ATAK and WinTAK setup

Download the enrollment file, import it, then sign in with the username and password already issued to you.

Do not unzip it. Import the .zip as a single file.

This file is for Android and Windows users only.
iPhone users go to itak.148tak.net.

Android (ATAK)

Install ATAK and keep it updated.
On this page, tap Download ATAK / WinTAK enrollment zip and save it on the phone (Downloads is fine).
Open ATAK → menu (☰) → Import Manager (or Settings → Network Preferences → choose import / add server from file).
Select 148-enroll-ATAK-WinTAK.zip. Do not unzip it first.
When asked, enter your TAK username and the password that was generated for you (example: john.q.public).
If you have not received your username & password, ask your first line leader to request it through your chain of command.
If it asks for a certificate / truststore password, contact your BN S6 or ask someone with existing access.
Enable the server named 1-148 TAK. Status should go connected.

Download 148-enroll-ATAK-WinTAK.zip to the PC. Leave it zipped.
Open WinTAK. Drag the zip onto the map, or use Import and select the file.
When asked, enter your TAK username and generated password (example: john.q.public).

Confirm the 1-148 TAK connection is enabled and turns connected.

Confirm you imported this ATAK/WinTAK zip, not the iPhone package from itak.148tak.net.
Confirm the zip was not unzipped and re-zipped.
Use the account you were issued. Do not share someone else’s client cert.
The device needs internet to go.148tak.net on ports 443, 8446, and 8089.
